These tea towel designs were originally launched in 1954.
Lucienne and Robin Day, British Modernists, are often compared to Ray and
Charles Eames. "Because they we a couple and we're a couple," said Ms. Day, 90,
adding that she and her husband, 92, "work absolutely separately." Still, even
if their aesthetic is reminiscent of the Eamses', the designs they are
re-releasing are far less commonplace in the United States.
